The need for clean, easily accessible water in Africa continues to be urgent. Because of the heart of a Wyoming well driller and some helpers from that state, a drilling rig was sent to Sakila. Since 2002, 28 operational wells have been drilled in the area around the school, in other villages, and in the city of Arusha. Each year a crew travels to Tanzania to drill more wells, using supplies sent ahead on containers. In 2007 the team had the opportunity to meet the President of Tanzania at the dedication of a well at a farmers' market in Arusha, and he personally thanked them for their efforts.
