Located next to the hospital property, the farm provides beans and corn to feed the students and staff at IEC in years when the weather provides adequate rain. Dry farming has its risks, and some years there is too much rain, necessitating the purchase of beans for the school. There are wells at the site, so irrigation is possible to combat the lack of rain. To keep the farm operating consistently, there is a need for the irrigation system to be installed and maintained.
